Clearwing (Synanthedon tipuliformis)
This pest is prevalent in many areas of Ribes production, but is particularly serious in New Zealand. Crop losses of over 50% have been reported in blackcurrant, with some cultivars more susceptible than others and redcurrants particularly susceptible.
